“I love teeth!”
Dr. Jessica T. Emery is the owner of Sugar Fix Dental Loft. She has a true passion for helping individuals meet their dental goals, whether general, restorative, or cosmetic. Dr. Jessica Emery is a second generation dentist, as her mother is also a talented dentist. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Pennsylvania, Dr. Emery assisted her mother for a year; this experience contributed to her decision to become a dentist. After getting a taste of the world of dentistry at her mother’s practice, Dr. Emery enrolled in dental hygiene school and then attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Patients at our dental loft appreciate the fact that Dr. Emery performs all of the cleanings herself. She spends a great deal of time examining each patient’s teeth and gums, so she can thoroughly check for any emerging issues. If she diagnoses a problem, she immediately administers the necessary treatments to protect and preserve the teeth as much as possible.
Dr. Emery’s husband also played a significant role in helping her follow her dream of opening a dental practice. Together, the couple has two young daughters, and a strong sense of family. Dr. Emery cares for her patients as though they are part of her family. She leads an active lifestyle, and is extremely invested in taking care of the health and aesthetics of peoples’ smiles to enhance their quality of life.
Amy DeLassus, Office Manager
“I’ve always been a fan of dentistry!”
Amy DeLassus is the office manager at Sugar Fix Dental Loft, and works hard to help patients in any way she can. From assisting with scheduling, to insurance, to answering any questions, patients know they can rely on Amy for virtually anything. Amy knew she wanted to work in the field of dentistry since she was very young. As she grew up she remembers fondly the positive experiences she had at the dentist. She has also been familiar with dentistry for a long time, as a lot of family friends are involved in the field in some way.
After experiencing a bike accident many years ago, Amy needed a great deal of dental work performed. Since then, she knew working in dentistry was the right career choice for her. She has been involved with dentistry since the age of 17, and never plans on leaving.
When she isn’t at the dental loft, Amy enjoys renovating her newly purchased home with her husband. Additionally, she spends time with her Rottweiler, jogging, working out, and exploring her Chicago neighborhood.
Laney Judson, Dental Assistant
“I always really liked going to the dentist!”
Laney Judson is the dental assistant at Sugar Fix Dental Loft. She is from Georgia and went to college in Kentucky. She has lived in Chicago for two years, and has been practicing dentistry for five. Since she had braces when she was younger, Laney has been interested in the field of dentistry. Her favorite part of working at Sugar Fix is meeting new patients.
Laney believes that the smile is the first thing people notice about you, which is why it is so important that it is healthy and beautiful. She also has a love of brushing and flossing, which proves her strong passion for dentistry. In her spare time, Laney loves to work out, go to the beach, and travel to Kentucky and Atlanta.
