Tissue Recontouring Procedure

During your initial consultation, Dr. Emery will determine whether you are an ideal candidate for tissue recontouring. She will inquire about your aesthetic goals, examine your gums, and discuss your specific treatment.

To begin the procedure a topical anesthetic is administered so you do not experience any pain or discomfort throughout the process.

Next, using the advanced Ivoclar Vivadent Odyssey® 2.4G Diode Laser system, she will modify the shape and size of your gums, depending on your needs. The light emitted from the laser gently cuts into the gum tissue without damaging the tooth or surrounding gums. The laser then seals the pocket created between the gum tissue and the tooth, in order to promote quick healing.
